Turning disability into mobility

At KJ Limousine, we proudly offer exclusive wheelchair accessible transportation with the luxurious MV-1, the world’s first purpose-built accessible vehicle designed and built specifically for people with mobility challenges.

The MV-1 is a London taxi/cab style vehicle that is built for passengers in wheelchairs or scooters.

It is the first of its kind in Greater Vancouver and only available exclusively at KJ Limousine Services.

Why MV-1 is the best option for disabled transportation

Exclusive Comfort

Typically, converted vehicles for accessibility seat the wheelchair passenger in the back of the car or in the middle. However, the designers of the MV-1 believe the back of the vehicle is for luggage, not passengers.

The MV-1 has plenty of room for wheelchairs and scooters to maneuver inside the vehicle and seat the wheelchair passenger in the front forward position, next to the driver. The MV-1 can seat one wheelchair or scooter comfortably plus 3 additional passengers. There is plenty of room for all passengers to ride safely and securely, while still having lots of space for suitcases in the trunk.

Superior Safety

Traditionally, the options for wheelchair accessible transportation needed an existing vehicle to be modified or converted. These modifications require the car’s suspension to be raised and the structural elements to be cut to lower the floor while maximizing head room; compromising the vehicle’s center of gravity, structural integrity and stability.

The MV-1 is universally designed and factory built specifically to be accessible for disabled passengers without any potentially unsafe issues that converted vehicles have. The MV-1 is the only accessible vehicle in North America that has been crash test and safety certified.

Built For Convenience

Alternative options for disability transportation include converted vehicles with rear entry or side entry where the passenger enters via a lift or ramp. Ramps and motorized lifts can both be very bulky and unsightly whether they are on the side or on the rear.

Passengers enter the MV-1 from the side by simply rolling up a motorized ramp that is built into and stored inside of the floor so that it is hidden from view when not in use.  When loading or unloading, the ramp extends out to match the height of the ground outside, whether it be street level or curb height.

At KJ Limousine Services, we are proud to offer Vancouver’s first luxury taxi for disabled and scooter or wheelchair-bound clients. We are confident that you will have an excellent experience with our wheelchair transportation services. The MV-1 is available for bookings in Greater Vancouver including Richmond, Burnaby, Langley, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Coquitlam, Delta and New Westminster. Other locations may be available upon request.

Great Service
Excellent service by Hing and Coco. They were very professional, punctual and helpful. The price was reasonable and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. Will definitely use their service again in the future. Thank you.
No more taxis!!
Today we used your wheelchair accessible limousine to take my mother to a doctor's appointment. It was such a different experience in a very good way. Raeburn was a few minutes early and so there was no rushing. He was extremely pleasant and very efficient. He joked with my mother and she was very relaxed.(she suffers from dementia) She enjoyed being able to see out the front window and enjoy all the cherry blossoms that lined our route. We reached our destination and unloaded Mom. Raeburn arranged with me to call him when we were ready. We had a very quick appointment and when I called he said he would be there in 10 minutes(not 2 hours like taxis). He picked us up and brought us home using some side streets so my mother could see more blossoms. She really enjoyed the trip and we will be using this service again next month for another doctor's appointment. It is so much less stressful for my Mom. Thank you for a much needed service.
People in wheelchairs can now ride in the front seat! what a great breakthrough!
KJ Limousine is an answer to prayer! My Mom couldn't see much out of the back of regular wheelchair vans, poor thing, it wasn't fun for her at all. Now with KJ Limousine she rides up front and sees the world! Our driver Raeburn was very nice to our Mom and we appreciate that 🙂 Imagine the ramp coming out automatically...without a big crash. Raeburn drove very carefully, and at the perfect speed. Mom noticed all the early Spring flowers and really loved the trip. We'll do it again! Cheers, The Burke Family
KJ Limo was simply awesome. Used them 3 times and always completely satisfied. Limo's are clean and comfortable and drivers are friendly helpful and informative. If you're not taking KJ you should honestly try them. I'll definitely will be using them again. A big thanks to Hing and Andre both were outstanding
